Main Renovation of 3 Tibetan Cultural Relics Finished

Main renovation of 3 Tibetan cultural relics has been finished, Potala Palace, Norbu Linka and Sagya Monastery now have been open to public with a new appearance, sources from State Cultural Relics Bureau.

The main renovation of Potala Palace costs over 64 million yuan including 37 projects and fresco protection. Near 40 million yuan is put into 52 projects of palaces renovation and fresco repair in Norbu Linka. The whole renovation of Sagya Monastery includes 11 projects invested with 15.54 million yuan, now 10 projects have been finished, 12.52 million yuan was put into building a new cultural relic storeroom, protection of 487 sq.m.'s frescos have been completed.

As one of the 117 key aid-Tibet projects, the renovation of 3 Tibetan cultural relics including Potala Palace, Norbu Linka and Sagya Monastery is the largest project with the most investment in the history of Tibetan cultural relics renovation.
