On the morning of October 18, delegation of the China Tibetan Culture Forum visited the holy lake Namco which locating in Guijor Township of Gyacha County between Damxung County in Lhasa and Pangkog County in Nagqu. All the delegates were very excited to see the beautiful scenery in north Tibet in the golden autumn.

As one of the three holy lakes in Tibet and the famous holy land of Tibetan buddhism, Namco covers an area over 1,900 sq.m. on 4,718 meters above sea level. It is the highest salt water lake in the world and the second biggest in China. Namco is mainly formed by the melting water from Mt. Nyainqentanglha and some rivulets of different sizes. The water is clear, bluish green. People are attracted by its purity, sedateness and fairness.

Peter Schwieger, professor of Bonn University in Germany excitedly said that, all the visits in recent days were very exciting and the visit of Namco was the climax of all the activities. Standing by the holy lake, he felt his soul was purified.

The delegation also visited the special channels for wild animals along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway. Delegates of China Tibetan Culture Forum said that, the special channels for wild animals showed the Chinese government's efforts on the environmental protection of Qinghai-Tibet Railway.

On the evening of October 18, the delegation of China Tibetan Culture Forum came back to Lhasa and enjoyed an excellent performance which included Tibetan opera, Tibetan songs and dances and Tibetan fashion show. Delegates danced with performers at the end of the performance.
